Sr. Master Gary Horner has been teaching Tang Soo Do since the early 1990’s.. He opened his own Dojang in Lake Worth Florida in 1999 and has been very active in the local community teaching child safety as well as Tang Soo Do. Master Horner is a professional martial arts instructor with several hundred students and has graduated hundreds of Black Belts.

Master Horner has conducted safety classes, demonstrations and karate classes at many local elementary schools, private preschools, churches, public libraries, fairs and community events. He also conducts “Women’s Self Defense/Rape prevention seminars for various schools and organizations. In addition, Master Horner has organized many local and regional Gup and Black Bet training camps in addition to local & regional tournaments.

In 2005 Master Horner and the Karate Center began fundraising for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. St Jude pioneers research and treatments for kids with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. To date, Karate Center has raised over $60,000 dollars for the hospital.

Master Horner received the rank of Yuk Dan (6th Dan), International Master rank from KJN Kevin Case Grand Master of the United Tang Soo Do Association in May 2014. Master Horner has also trained in Hapkido, Iai (Japanese Sword) as well as other martial arts styles during his career. He has been internationally recognized as a Master Instructor in the Traditional martial art of Tang Soo Do. Master Horner’s leadership is recognized locally, nationally and internationally with many awards and commendations.
